Tomorrow Publications Comes To The StandardX, Melbourne

Coinciding With Melbourne Design Week, Pop-Up Offers Guests The Chance To See Rare Fashion Books & Magazines In The Flesh

From 15 - 25 May, Tomorrow Publications will be popping up in Fitzroy at The Box, The StandardX Melbourne’s lobby retail space. Coinciding with Melbourne Design Week and the Melbourne Art Book Fair, the pop-up offers guests a great opportunity to come and see these publications in the flesh, before they sneak back online.

Tomorrow is an online bookshop and publisher based in Melbourne, Australia, specialising in hard-to-find international fashion and photography books and magazines sourced through on the ground networks in Europe. The pop-up at the StandardX Melbourne features exclusive brand new and vintage titles from Paris, London, Barcelona and Melbourne, as well as tote bags and postcards. 

Its offering includes the work of influential visual artists like Viviane Sassen, Coco Capitan and Ren Hang as well as vintage publications that follow the progression of fashion and art through time. A vintage selection includes copies of the French Men's PHOTO Magazine from the 1980s that feature the works of iconic 20th century photographers, as well as sought after issues of "A Magazine Curated By" from the 2010s.

A brand new selection features up-and-coming experimental publications like Epoch Review, packed with cutting edge fashion photography, styling and graphic design, as well as the 40-year archive of the iconic i-D Magazine all-in-one book, "i-D: Wink and Smile!”.

 Tomorrow Publications Pop-Up at The StandardX, Melbourne is open 15-25 May at The Box, Ground Floor, opening hours: 11.00 am - 10.30 PM.

The StandardX, Melbourne opened in Fitzroy in August 2024 and marks the Australian debut for global hotel group, Standard International. At present, the hotel’s rooftop, ‘The Roof’ is only accessible to hotel guests.
